1 pck. vanilla sugar
a pinch of salt
100g ground almonds
2 egg yolks
10 ml bitter almond flavour
100g unprocessed almond paste
2 egg whites
100g peeled almond halves
50g icing sugar

Beat everything for the dough until you have a smooth shortcrust and let it chill for an hour in the fridge. After that roll out the dough with a rolling pin about a 1/4 of an inch high. Cut out rhombuses with a knife and glaze each one with the egg white and place and a piece of almond on them. Bake for 15 minutes at a 180C.
Sprinkle icing sugar on the cookies after they have cooled out.
