Braune kager - Danish brown cookies

75g hacked almonds
75g hacked candied lemon peel
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger powder
7 g baking soda

Melt the butter with the molasses and sugar and heat in a pot until it boils.
Take the pot off the oven and stir in the lemon peel, the cloves, the cinnamon and the ginger.
Dissolve the baking soda in a little water and stir into the pot. Let everything cool for about half an hour.
Then knead the flour into the mixture. Form two rolls, wrap them in cellophane and put them in the fridge for 24 hours.
Heat the oven to 200°C and cut the rolls into slices the same size. Place the slices on a baking tray and leave enough space between them.
Bake for 8-10 min. Let the cookies cool on a cooling rack.
