Little Spice Cookies

150 g butter
125 g sugar
1 egg 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg
peel of one lemon
125 g flour
125 g peeled whole almonds
125 g breadcrumbs
200 g icing sugar
3-4 tbs. lemon juice
30 g of candied lemon and orange peel

Combine the butter and sugar with a hand mixer in a bowl until everything is foamy.
Stir the egg, spices and the lemon peel into the mixture. Sift the flour into and put almonds and breadcrumbs into the bowl.
Beat everything until smooth and let cool in the fridge for about two hours.
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough on a flour covered table 4mm high and cut it into rectangles 3x6cm.
Put the rectangles on a lined baking tray and bake 10-12min. Sift the icing sugar into a bowl and mix with the lemon juice
until smooth. Ice the cooled cookies with this mixture. Slice the candied lemon and orange peel and press this gently on while the icing is still soft.
